For 31 years, ATLANTIS has served the South Bay with unsurpassed standard of excellence in the area. Founded by Bob Graham and Dwight Kelsey in 1981, the guiding principle has always been to 'go the extra mile' in providing each patient the best service possible. To accomplish this goal, we hire the best qualified people and ensure their continued... education in state-of-the-art methods. The result has been dedicated, skillful treatment for all patients. We began our business in a small office on Torrance Boulevard. Initially, there were only enough patients for one of the partners to work in the office. To make ends meet, Bob and Dwight took turns treating patients for a home health agency. Michael Louis joined ATLANTIS in our second year and brought with him two local referring physicians. We were able to absorb Michael into the practice thanks to a contract to provide physical therapy services to a nearby Ross Loos-INA medical clinic. We have grown since those humble beginnings, and today we operate a sizeable 7,000+ square foot clinic with 9 private treatment rooms, large gym and a wide range of specialized equipment. But, our greatest asset remains our staff. We employ five Physical Therapists including our new owner/partner, Ruth Kurihara. In addition, our staff includes an Occupational Therapist, who is also a Certified Hand Therapist, and a Speech and Language Pathologist.
