Atlantic Valuation Services, LLC was established in December of 2005 after Leslie and Chad Shoaf relocated from the Piedmont Triad (NC) area. As a minority owned company, their intent was to create an appraisal firm that provided quality services to the coast areas of southeastern North Carolina. In 2010 AVS expanded westerly to Raleigh and now off... ers an office in Clayton, NC. In an effort to better serve their clients, AVS covers several counties linking the coastal market to Raleigh. Additionally, AVS now offers a South Carolina office operated by Connie Wise. Connie began with AVS in 2006 before moving back home to the Manning, SC area. Not only has AVS expanded geographically, but in property types, now offering appraisal services for residential and commercial properties as well as specializing in eminent domain. Mr. Shoaf has worked as a staff appraiser for the North Carolina Department of Transportation thus giving him the opportunity to work throughout the state on various roadway projects. This along with his eminent domain experience gained at Taylor and Associates Appraisers Inc. and John McCracken and Associates gives Chad 13 years of experience in the condemnation field. He has provided services for government entities, private companies, utility companies and individual property owners in North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. Chad has completed assignments for NCDOT, VDOT, WVDOT and AEP (American Electric Power). AVS has become a multi-service appraisal firm that serves an area reaching from the Triangle area and extending south to coastal North and South Carolina.
