Atkins Electric is a family-owned electrical contracting company with more than half a century's experience. Our Boise-based company installs affordable, high-quality electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and large-scale residential buildings. A&B Electric was founded in 1968. And for more than three decades, Ron Atkins served as the compan... y's founder and sole owner. In 2001, Bryan-Ron's son and an experienced journeyman with more than 10 years' experience at A&B-joined the business as a manager and partner. In the years to come, the company expanded, serving the growing needs of contractors and businesses powering Southwest Idaho's economic expansion. The nearly 30-year collaboration between father and son ended in 2019, when Ron retired and sold his share of the business. A&B Electric officially became Atkins Electric: a fully insured and bonded partner of Boise-area general contractors. Atkins' more notable projects include Eagle's award-winning Chateau des Fleurs, the Dennis Dillon family of automotive dealerships, and a variety of board and care facilities.
