The major expansion was completed in FY2011-12 and doubled the existing capacity of the plant to cater the growing demand of the existing market as well as to expand the global marketing horizon of the Company. This plant has dedicated facilities for General and Beta-lactum products and are equipped with latest technology equipments. Our in-house Quality Assurance & Control department is also facilitated with modern technology laboratory equipments to meet the international standards. The facility is WHO-cGMP compliant and have also been approved by National Drug Authority of Uganda, Tanzania Food and Drug Authority, Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya, Drug Administration and Control Authority of Ethiopia, Ministry of Health of D.R. Congo and Pharmacy, Medicines & Poisons Board of Malawi. Our long-term aim is to obtain other international regulatory approvals like, TGA-Australia, MHRA-UK, MCC-South Africa, USFDA. astra lifecare has strong marketing base in East African countries through its associate and for other African region through its well-established distributors. Besides marketing the products in African continent, the Company has also appointed exclusive distributors for South-East Asian countries as well as Latin and Central American countries to further its international presence.
