About Associated Fuel Pump Systems
Established in November 1989, Associated Fuel Pump Systems Corporation (AFCO) is a multinational joint venture between Robert Bosch GmbH of Germany and DENSO International America (formerly known as Nippondenso America). In 1989, Bosch and DENSO entered into an agreement to act as equal partners in a joint venture that would combine advanced Japanese and German engineering and technology to produce a superior automotive product at a lower cost than either could do alone. This product would be a high pressure, turbine type electric fuel pump. The joint venture would be called Associated Fuel Pump Systems Corporation (AFCO). On June 21, 1991, with just eighty-five associates, AFCO made its first shipment of fuel pumps to Diamond/Star Motors. To date, AFCO employs about 300 associates and has an outstanding reputation with all customers.Explore more
