Asima Plastic Factory

Asima Plastic Factory is a modern factory located in Doha, Qatar. It is specialized both in manufacturing and trading plastic items, such as shopping bags, garbage bags and construction rolls. The firm was founded in 1993, when Mr. Ali Jaber Al-Marri, Qatari shareholder, with more than 30 years of experience in the plastic sector, started producing... plastics bags in a small factory near Doha. After some decades, Asima has become one of the largest plastic factories in Qatar. In 2005, Asima faced a new challenge opening a large and modern factory in the New Industrial Area in Doha. In a couple of years this factory was supplying plastic bags to most of traders and retail clients all around Qatar. In 2010 Asima signed a commercial agreement with Dibelplas Company to spread the market outside Qatar. As a consequence of that, Asima boosted its sales revenue to 29 million QR and increased staff over 120 employees. In April 2011, Mr. Mohamed Ali acquired 51% of Dibelplas' equity. Dibelplas is also a Plastic Bag firm owned by Group Beltran & Garcia, a corporation leader in the Spanish plastic business. Therefore, Asima is moving forward based on this international agreement with Dibelplas and exporting roughly 20 containers a month outside Qatar.
