Art in Motion

Our competitive program is for dancers who wish to train more extensively and participate in competitions. Competitive dancers compete in two mandatory in town competitions and a mandatory out of town competition. Students on the competitive team must take required ballet exam classes and adhere to our attendance policies (please see our registrati... on package for policies and procedures). Taking ballet and having good attendance in all classes will help students to progress more rapidly in all dance forms. Pre Competitive dancing is a program for our younger dancers to develop basic technique and skills. This program is designed for ages 2-6 and focuses on gross motor skills, quality of movement, developing musicality, body awareness and an introduction to dance technique and terminology. The Creative Movement, Hip Hop Mini, 5-6 year old Ballet and Tap/Jazz Combo classes are fun for all dancers and allows them the opportunity to perform in the Art in Motion year end recital. Recreational classes are offered for students looking to join a fun activity with lower costs and commitment involved. These classes are offered based on interest and enrollment.
