Welcome to Art Gallery Prudencia! While photographers show us the real world as it actually appears, artists show us their interpretations of that same world, but of course these interpretations can be dramatically different. For it is the impression that the world makes on the artist that is reflected in their work. In our upcoming show we will ex... plore these differences by comparing the different views of the world by artists Kim Collins and Mary James. Their differing interpretations of their subject give us an invaluable and instructive insight into the artistic "process"- into the differing ways that the artist looks at the world This new show will open with a Reception and Artist Talk on Saturday, September 25, 2021, 1 to 4 pm, here at the gallery, and the exhibit will continue through November 6th. If you cannot visit the Gallery to see this exhibit in person, you can still view the artworks that are part of it by clicking the button at left. Conveniently located on Main Avenue in Monte Vista, Art Gallery Prudencia showcases local and national artists working in pastels, watercolors, oils, collages, sculpture, and even painted porcelain. We also have a selection of unique notecards, books, and other gifts. We would love for you to visit our gallery and let us introduce you to these talented artists and their work. We also have many events and shows throughout the year where you can meet our artists and talk with them directly. The gallery is continuing its usual precautions to make your visits and all our events safe for everyone. We have extended the hours for this event so visitors can more easily "social distance" as they feel necessary.
