In the real estate segment, Argon, through Primus Realty, develops residential, commercial, hotel and logistics projects in the state of Rio de Janeiro. In the asset management segment, Argon operates through its subsidiary Argon Gestão de Recursos. Founded over 30 years ago, Argonpart played a relevant role in the Brazilian financial market by hav... ing created in 1989, one of the leading investment banks of that period, Banco Primus S.A. In 1999, Argonpart decided to transfer part of Banco Primus` controlling shares to the Portuguese bank Banif - Banco Internacional do Funchal, resulting in Banco Banif Primus S.A. In 2008, Argonpart sold its entire stake to Banif, consequently becoming a holding company with the purpose of managing its own assets and participating in companies, focused on the Brazilian real estate sector. As of 2009, Argonpart became a partner of Performance Investimentos Imobiliários - PII, in order to diversify and broaden its active portfolio in the real estate segment. In the same year, Argonpart started its own asset management segment through a partnership with Valora Participações Ltda., as a shareholder of Valora Gestão de Investimentos - VGI, a fund management company specialized in credit (FIDCs) and in private equity funds.
