On April 25th 2013 all shares of Arets International NV were sold to Toyo Ink SC Holdings Ltd. Toyo Ink Group is a giant in its sector. With these figures, it is said to be the number three in the worldwide inks and coatings market. Toyo produces for various applications all types of printing inks and coatings : waterbased, solventbased, oilbased, as well as UV curable products. The Toyo Ink Group has selected these UV curable inks as one of the product groups that is well positioned for the pursuit of eco-friendly products in its endeavor to achieve a breakthrough for significant future growth. The merger of Arets International, completely focused on UV inks and varnishes, into the Toyo Ink Group is therefore a major step forward in the entire Group strategy. By including the Arets Group in its Group through this acquisition, the Toyo Ink Group will improve the network and maximize synergies to become the No. 1 brand and No. 1 global manufacturer in this sector.
