Arbitor Associates, LLC has been dissolved, effective 10/31/2012, and all remaining assets of the firm were distributed to the owner. Dan M. Kalin was the owner of Arbitor and served as their Principal Consultant from 2002 to 2012. During that time, he enabled client firms to recognize billions of dollars of operational cost savings, supporting var... ious SCM and management consulting projects. Mr. Kalin developed unique management, operations, economic and provider financial performance concepts, as well as being the author of the Measurable Management Discipline process. Mr. Kalin came to Arbitor from XO Communications, Inc. where, during his tenure, he developed and launched the XO Gigabit Ethernet product line in more than 60 metropolitan markets within the United States, as well as the Intercity Ethernet product line. Mr. Kalin was also involved in the initial development of products such as Metro Wavelength, LMDS wireless, burstable Internet Access, private IP, managed firewall/router, dedicated/shared hosting, and wireless private data networking. Previous roles include WorldSpace Inc. where he served as Product Development Director, Space Programs and System Development which led to the Satellite Radio systems deployed by XM Satellite Radio and Sirius. Prior to WorldSpace, Mr. Kalin served as Principal, Business Development for Lockheed Martin Telecommunications space-based telephony/IP systems in Asia, Africa, Central Asia, and Eastern Europe. Mr. Kalin has negotiated international telecommunications licenses with regulatory authorities and formulated business plans for start-up telecommunications projects ranging in size from $3-5 million to more than $1.5 billion USD. Mr. Kalin also served as contracts program manager on several large (more than $400M USD each) commercial telecommunication satellite production contracts, INTELSAT VIII and EchoStar 1-7.
