A.R.A. FOOD CORP. was established in 1975 in South Florida by Alberto R. Abrante and his family with the special support of Alberto's father, Manuel. At the beginning, A.R.A. rented a small 7,000 square foot warehouse. Two and a half years later, the company was able to purchase its first building. Through years of hard work and dedication, A.R.A.... has been blessed and has gradually grown into its current facilities by acquiring additional properties to be used for the manufacturing plant and distribution centers. New generations continue to be actively involved in the company's success as we look forward to a very promising future. A.R.A. was founded to manufacture the most popular tropical snack, the plantain chip. Special techniques were developed in order to handle the demands of the complex manufacturing process required. Additional products were added along the way like the cassava chips, white sweet potato chips, pork rinds and pork cracklings. A.R.A. emphasizes in strict Quality and Safety controls throughout its manufacturing processes. Our plant is in compliance with USDA, OSHA, and AIB INTERNATIONAL regulations. The following of these high standards have also helped us to sign Co-Pack agreements with some of the most important regional and national snack chips sellers in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.Read More
