About A&R Cambridge
Established in 1976 by Engineering students from The University of Cambridge, ARCAM was initialy focussed on high-performance mixing desks for recording studios, but it wasn't long before they were making hi-fi amplifiers, beginning an engineering-led business still innovating and making the most of music and home cinema sound decades later. In 1988 ARCAM was the first company to launch an outboard DAC. In 1999 ARCAM was the first in Europe with a high-quality DAB radio tuner. For almost 20 years ARCAM is as much about home cinema as hi-fi. Better pictures are only half of the story. That's why ARCAM embraced developments to make people stop what they're doing and get lost in the magic that only the best-sounding music and movie systems can deliver. The company want people to enjoy music from a variety of sources while they work, travel or play, and wherever they want to listen - ARCAM's motto is 'Better sound for more people'.Explore more
