Bobby M. White founded Apollo Electric, Inc. in 1963 after he left his position at Sedco Drilling. His eldest son, Kerry L. White joined Apollo Electric in 1979 and became President of the business in 1990. With a simple attitude of treating people and customers fair, Apollo has grown steadily and can boast of never having an unhappy customer. For the past 42 years, Apollo Electric has been on a continuing quest for innovative remanufacturing solutions. Over the years we have carved out a niche as one of the most cost-effective traction motor remanufacture shops on the Gulf Coast. We specialize in diesel generator sets ranging from 20-2850 KW by GM/EMD, Caterpillar, ALCO, and Cummins. Our EMD inventory is of the largest in the world. With our 51,000 square foot facility, we have multiple overhead cranes with the capacity to lift 110,000 lb. skids. We are not only a full-service electric motor and generator shop, but also a generator set builder and unitizer. With 3500-kilowatt load bank capacity, we can fully test our generator sets and stand behind our work. We have a dip and bake facility with one of the largest electrical rebuild shops in Texas. We have on average 200 A.C. generator ends in stock at a wide range of RPM's & KW's.
