ENGINEERING EDUCATION - Apex is committed to addressing the critical shortage of local engineering talent. We support career development for college students pursuing careers in engineering and technical fie... lds. We work with academic institutions to encourage young adults to pursue engineering and science careers. Through a blend of financial support and company internships, we help create educational experiences and career opportunities for these college students. We support The Ohio State University - College of Engineering Program as they demonstrate their unwavering commitment and ongoing development of a diverse pool of student engineers. PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS - Serving as both a mentor and a financial sponsor, Apex senior leadership works with the Institute for the Economic Empowerment of Women (IEEW) to promote entrepreneurship with women in Afghanistan and Rwanda. Our goal is to help women learn to run businesses at home in war-torn countries that will help support their families and raise their standard of living. Apex contributes by exposing these new entrepreneurs to the daily issues that business owners face. TRUMPETS 4 KIDS - To help set the stage for low-income students to succeed, Apex works with Trumpets 4 Kids to provide children with trumpets, asking in return that the children practice, teach and perform.
