AP IRRIGATION SYSTEMS LTD. is a company engaged in the supply and installation of underground irrigation systems on golf courses. AP IRRIGATION was founded in 1973 by Akis & Anne Papadopoulos. During the first few years the company was very busy installing a mix of residential, commercial, and golf projects. As the golf market grew in Western Canad... a a decision was made to commit the personnnel and financial resources of the company to develop this particular area of the irrigation market. After establishing a good record for quality installations in Alberta, the company expanded into British Columbia. They completed a number of courses with construction teams from the United States on courses designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., The Golden Bear Design Group (Jack Nicklaus), Wm.G.Robinson and GDS,Graham Cooke. AP IRRIGATION has also completed golf course irrigation projects in Alaska, Washington and Oregon, based on recommendations by artchitects. AP IRRIGATION will continue to be a family owned business with a solid background of expertise in management on and off our project sites. We are looking forward to serving the golf market with excellence for many years to come. Akis's enthusiasm for golf courses resulted in the construction and development of his own golf course project, Cougar Creek Golf Resort, together with a partner. The golf course, which was completed in 1995 and opened in 1996 has become one of the most popular courses in the Edmonton area.
