About Anppcan-Som
ANPPCAN-SOM in partnership with UNICEF and MOH, has implemented a community based program called Infant and Young Child Feeding practices (IYCF) since 2012. The program aimed to contribute to the harmonies growth and development of infants and children through the introduction of innovative and technically feasible strategies of promoting the knowledge of parents and caretakers for improved feeding practices of infants and young children as well as creating an enabling environment. IYCF beneficiaries particularly include pregnant and lactating women as well as mothers with children less than two years (0-23) in both Somaliland and SCZ. In Somaliland the program covers eight IDP camps, six in Maroodijeex (Hargeisa) and two in Awdal (Borema). In SCZ the program covers eight districts in Benadir namely Shibis, Abdi Aziz, Waberi A (October) and Waberi B (Horseed), Hamar Jajab, Wadjir and Bondheere.Explore more
