In 2002, I received a phone call from my father asking me to help launch his Colombian shapewear brand, Annette, in the United States. As a recent graduate of NYU, I agreed to take on the challenge of expanding a 25 year old, family-run company into one of the most competitive markets. Within months, Annette International was born in the United Sta... tes and I was running the US headquarters out of my mother's small apartment in Miami. Several years, two children, one supportive husband, a committed US/Colombian team and many business trips, phone calls and trade shows later, Annette International has become a viable brand in a competitive industry. It was during this time that I purchased all the company's shares from my family members and in 2008, became the sole owner of Annette International. Our team has worked tirelessly over the past eight years to understand what women want out of their shapewear. In turn, Annette International has developed products made specifically to make women feel great from the inside out and will continue to do so year after year.
