About Anime Art Museum

The Anime Art Museum offers a comprehensive curriculum for preserving, studying, and teaching the anime art form through classes specializing in the history, culture, and ideology of the art and the countries to which it has been disseminated. Since the museum first opened its doors, it has been providing dedicated anime arts learning to the community in the form of long-term classes or single-day workshops. Open to adult and youth participants, we offer anime arts learning opportunities to visitors and artists of any skill level, no prior experience necessary. We have hosted single visitors, friends, siblings, parents and children, and mentor-child participants. The tables allow for a wide workspace where students can spread out and share their work with one another. The white board doubles as a screen for the projector to display on, while allowing instructors to make "on-screen" notes for the students. The Wacom drawing tablets give our students the freedom of natural, freehand illustrating while also familiarizing them with the equipment used in the professional digital arts field. VIRTUAL CLASSROOM: Our instructors and tutors work with lectures and on screen demonstrations, encouraging face-to-face contact with the students and display of power points, videos, and images. MARTIAL ARTS CLASSROOM: As a part of Learning through the Arts, the Museum recognizes when aspects of a country's culture have become popularized through anime and considers these learning opportunities. One of the most common practices seen in anime is that of martial arts. The Museum offers comprehensive classes that honor and respect these practices.
