About Andersen Sterilizers
Andersen Products was founded in 1958 by Dr. H.W. Andersen. As a young surgeon at Bellevue Hospital in New York, Dr. Andersen developed a line of nasogastric tubes and wound drains that dramatically improved upon the current designs. The companys first manufacturing operation was established in Oyster Bay, New York, in 1963. The need to sterilize these products led to a breakthrough method of ethylene oxide (EO or EtO) sterilization utilizing a flexible sterilization chamber. High-efficiency EO sterilizers employing flexible chamber technology (EO FCT) are now the companys core business. Andersen Sterilizers is headquartered in Haw River, North Carolina.
