We understand that the decision to begin medication assisted treatment for opioid dependence is often accompanied by fears and worries. However, we are committed to putting patients at ease by making them active and informed participants in all aspects of their treatment, starting with the intake process. If you would like to receive care at our ce... nter, our goal is to provide you with all the information that you need to get into treatment as efficiently as possible. First, we must confirm that you are eligible to enroll. In order to be treated at Anchorage Treatment Solutions, you must meet the following three criteria: You must be age 18 or older. You must have been dependent on opioids for at least one year. You must currently be in a state of withdrawal (unless you are pregnant). If you meet these criteria, the next step will be to schedule your intake assessment. In order to start the intake process, you must bring the following to our center on the date of your appointment: Valid photo identification. We will accept the following forms of ID: A Driver's license, a U.S. passport, or a state-issued photo ID card. Payment for your intake fees. We will accept the following forms of payment: cash, money order, or a credit card issued in your name. We are not able to accept a personal check or payment over the phone. Documentation of previous treatment, if you are transferring directly from a detox program or another medication assisted opiate treatment program. As indicated earlier on this page, you must arrive to your intake appointment in a state of withdrawal (not having used any opiates in the prior 20 to 24 hours) unless you are pregnant. During this appointment, which will take approximately four to six hours, the following will occur: You will fill out paperwork related to your health, medical, and substance abuse history.
