About American Karate Studio
American Karate Studios was established in 1990 by the mother and son team of Marc & Nancy Shay. They started their training at the Broomall School in 1978, working their way up to instructors and then became owners. The school began primarily instructing in the art of Kenpo Karate, and now also offers Tai Chi Chuan, Qi gong and Kenjutsu. Their goal is to offer a variety of Martial Arts so that everyone interested in training can find something to fit their needs. Their classes cater to all ages, male and female, offering day and evening classes to accommodate a variety of needs and schedules. There are many physical and mental benefits. At American Karate, the students will benefit from increased flexibility and strength in a relaxed but disciplined atmosphere.
