Amber Games is the largest online game developer in the Baltic region. The company was founded in 2006 in Riga, Latvia. The portfolio of the company started to form in 2006 with the client-based game Dark Swords, and right after that in 2007 the company introduced the game Islands, which was later renamed to First Pirate. In 2008 Amber Games releas... ed online medieval strategy game 1100AD, which is considered to be one of the most popular and most recognized games from the company. All the games by Amber Games are free to play, but for each game the company develops unique monetization system. Being a game developer, Amber Games works with 500 publishers from around the world. Amber Games is an active participant of international fairs and conferences. Games of the company participated in contests, where they have successfully won awards. Today, Amber Games develops a department that creates games intended for social networks. There are already four projects presented for international audience, as well as several projects being currently in the works. Right now, Amber Games portfolio consists of 9 game projects: browser, massively multiplayer online, and social networks games. About 10 projects are currently being developed.
