AmberCare (East Anglia) Ltd. was purchased by John and Susan Clarkson in 2003. Prior to this John and Susan had owned homes in Devon, which they sold and semi-retired. Both have vast experience in delivering care for people with learning disabilities, and because of this interest decided to come out of retirement and buy AmberCare (East Anglia) Ltd... . At this time the company consisted of three homes all providing care for people with Learning Difficulties, Autism and/or behaviour that may be challenging. Amber Lodge is home to 12 residents who live with mild to severe Learning Disabilities. Woody Point is a home for young adults with severe Learning Difficulties, and is based in rural Suffolk near Beccles. The Grove houses young adults with learning disabilities who may also have autism and exhibit behaviour that challenges. Crown House was then established to ensure that all the residents from the homes had a central point to go on a daily basis to receive stimulating activities specific to their individual needs. Since then John and Susan have purchased further homes. Marlborough House in Lowestoft accommodates residential clients with learning difficulties. Clann House based in Lanivet, Cornwall is a home that accommodates people living with Dementia, this home also offers respite care. Stewton House in Louth, Lincolnshire is the largest of the homes, and has the capacity for 47 clients with nursing or residential needs.Read More
