Alzheimer's Support Network

The Alzheimer's Support Network is a local, not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation dedicated to serving the thousands of families dealing with Alzheimer's disease or another form of dementia in Collier County. One in three families is affected by Alzheimer's disease. The progression of this fatal illness ranges from two to 20 years. Presently, there is... no known treatment or cure. Due to the nature of the caregiving burden, Alzheimer's disease seriously impacts the lives of everyone in the family. Often the only help available is through organizations like ours. In 30 years of service by the Alzheimer's Support Network, countless families have sought and received help. Currently, we serve over 4,000 families. All Services are Free of Chargeand include: Caregivers' Resource Center containing information on Alzheimer's disease and subjects important to those who care for someone with a dementia; including articles, books, audio presentations, dvd's, etc. available on loan or for you to keep. Support Groups (over 30 meetings each month) including general discussions as well as specialized groups (for male caregivers, those using a facility, adult children, daughters, a Marco group, day to day Coping, etc.) The vast majority of these group are open to family caregivers without reservation.Read More
