Based in Cayuga, Ontario, a small community located near Hamilton, Alumco is an ISO 9001:2015 certified foundry that specializes in commercial, industrial and military aluminum castings. This is achieved through continuous communication and formally documented in the management review. Ludwig Osfolk founded Alumco in 1987. He has over 50 years of foundry experience producing many types of aluminum castings including x-ray quality castings, commercial castings, industrial castings and military/defense castings. His youngest son, Anton, worked for his father every summer during school and then finally joined the family oriented business full time in 2001 after completing his engineering degree. In 2007, the company had grown to a point where Ludwig and Anton needed help managing the company. The natural choice for the job was Ludwig's oldest son Philip. In the ten years since Philip obtained his engineering degree, he has worked for companies such as Celestica, JDS Uniphase and Vasogen as a manufacturing engineer.
