Dr. Richard Shin graduated with honors from New York University School of Dentistry in 1999. He fulfilled his residency requirements in 2000 at Kings County Hospital and Down State Medical Center, located in Brooklyn, New York. He became board certified in Periodontology in 2003 after completing his specialty program at NYU, where he is currently a member of the dental school faculty. Dr. Shin was recognized for his clinical excellence by the Department of Periodontology with the Best Clinician Award in 2003. He published several articles in journals including: The American Academy of Periodontology; Papillon-Lefevre Syndrome: Successful Outcome in 2005. Dr. Shin has a broad patient referral base from the tri-state area and representing many multicultural backgrounds. In order to make a correct diagnosis and maximize the benefits of his patients, Dr. Shin works in partnership with other general dentists and specialists.
