Alpine Academy was created in 2001 as a program of Utah Youth Village, a nonprofit organization founded in 1969. Both the company's Lakeview Campus for males and the company's Mountain View Campus for females are licensed as residential treatment facilities in the state of Utah. In addition to an intensive therapeutic environment, the company provides comprehensive academic services that are designed to help improve your childs academic self-esteem and to get them back on-track to be successful at home, or in college. Alpine Academy is a nationally certified Teaching-Family Model treatment program. Through its strength-based, trauma-informed, individualized approach, students are taught healthy behaviors in a setting that replicates family, school, and community life. The Teaching-Family Model is evidence-based and empirically tested. The company's immersive therapeutic approach combines academics, clinical therapy, and residential treatment to create a holistic therapeutic environment, with all of the company's staff coordinating treatment for your child. The Residential Model at Alpine Academy stands out as one of the company's most unique programmatic elements. This model focuses upon psycho-educational skill development and clinical support delivered in a family-like setting which replicates real life. Alpine students reside in a home with live-in treatment providers called Family Teachers. Family Teachers are a married couple who reside in the home and act as treatment providers full-time. This professional couple provides the most unique form of treatment intervention available.
