At Allied Glazing Systems, we engage directly with the Customer or with the nominated Architect, Project Manager or Quantity Surveyor at an early stage to ensure that we correctly interpret the requirements and are able to provide a carefully considered quotation in the timescale required. We use many years of accumulated technical expertise to ana... lyse the specification and determine the best fit for the customer from the wide range of products offered by our partners. At times we will blend product offerings to arrive at the best and most cost effective solution. At this early stage, we consider Thermal Efficiency (U value), Light Transmittance & Solar Gain, Ventilation, Barrier Loading, Fire Protection, Egress from Buildings, Noise Reduction, Security by Design and of course Cost. We ensure that customers are offered the most cost effective system that fully meets the requirement of the project. On larger projects our engineers attend (at customer request) preliminary project meetings to consider and agree the best way to deliver a successful project to timescale, quality and cost. Once a quote becomes an order, where necessary, we prepare and provide detailed CAD drawings showing how our windows, doors and curtain walling interface with the structures of the existing or proposed building. We carry out detailed site surveys and work closely with the customer or agent to ensure that the project runs smoothly. We remain in communication and are in control of every stage of the process, enabling us to adapt in a timely manner to potential issues and changes before they become a problem. Once a quote becomes an order we schedule it into our manufacturing program, to reserve the production capacity, and place orders for materials. Window, door and curtain walling sections are cut accurately to length and machined to tight tolerances on CNC machine tools, this ensures repeatability and accuracy and efficient production allows us to remain competitive in our pricing.
