About All-Island Training

We provide quality tailwheel instruction, in our Piper J-3 C85 Cub, or owner own aircraft. One of the few tailwheel operations left on Long Island, a tailwheel endorsement will give you a unique perspective on flying. Learning how to fly a tailwheel equipped aircraft is not only fun and challenging, it makes you an all around better pilot. Unlike many other operations, after you complete our tailwheel course, you will be allowed to solo our aircraft. A current and qualified tricycle-gear pilot, can usually become proficient in a tailwheel aircraft in 8 to 12 hours. Many factors affect the rate at which someone progresses, and since its a skill that is quickly lost, regular training is strongly recommended. Our Tailwheel Training Package is a prepaid rate, that will give a pilot 10 to 12 hours of training. If additional hours are needed or desired beyond that point, normal rates will apply.Explore more
