Alegria Childcare

We provide care in an Early Learning Environment for children aged 12 months to 5 years old. We offer a quality and supportive program for the children and their families where we have created a safe and nurturing environment according the child's development and needs. We are located just a short 5-minute drive from the West Coast Express station... in Port Coquitlam. Our Infant and Toddler Program promotes a positive and nurturing relationship for the children in care through respectful and responsive interactions with their caregivers. Our Multiage Program allows the interaction of children from different age groups to enjoy and learn from each other. We bring to our rooms natural materials, staying away as much as we can from bright colors and plastics to expose children to different textures, encourage them to use their imagination and creativity, and where the learning process is active, natural, and fun. Develop a sense of respect for themselves, others, and the environment. Provide opportunities to expand language and communication skills. Encourage children to express themselves through art, music, and dramatic play. Develop a sense of community among children, staff, and families. Encourage parents to assist in all aspects of their child's education. Maintain an open door policy at our centre. Promote learning through play and FUN! We feel very blessed that our kids (Alma 5 and Ethan 3) are part of this wonderful place, the kindness, the professionalism, the organization, the extra care (an extra teacher always in the building!), the attention to the specific needs (respecting the rules of the Childcare), the sharing of the situations no matter how uncomfortable and of course the beautiful moments that our little ones achieve!
