Alderton Enterprises is a newly formed company formed in 2008 that eventuated from the expansion of a number of Subway stores across Sydney by the director and founder Matt Alderton. Matt Alderton opened his first Subway store in 2005 in Mortdale, NSW and due to its success has continued to open more. Matt's background has always been retail based.... Matt ran a management company similar to that of ae as the General Manager and worked there for over 9 years. The management company in its prime had over 50 different business units throughout Sydney. Throughout Matt's time as General Manager he developed a concept referred to as the "Store within a Store Concept" and successfully built a business model of utilising retail floor space over several different businesses, from video store to Subway stores to Internet Cafes and Coffee Bars. It is likely that if you have seen a video store with another business residing in it, that Matt had something to do with it! Alderton Enterprises began fast expansion in 2008 with the opening of 4 new stores.
