This service would allow the graduates to be more employable and would be able to create their own jobs as soon as they graduate from the college. The AlTec's project branded as "Students Plan" seeks to contribute to the elimination of the technological skills gap for the ICT graduates in Tanzania; it addresses the gap from what skills they have after graduation against what the market demands of them. Most ICT graduates are for instance unable to write codes and publish on the web /internet, they have the theoretical understanding but they lack the practical skill to do the same. This is attributed by the lack of practicing environment which students would use in order to cement their understanding on the subject matter. AlTec has conducted numerous studies on the subject matter which revealed the fact that students lack the practical skills due to the unavailability of practicing platform. Students must register at an affordable yearly fee in order to be availed the space, where they can learn for instance how to create and host static or dynamic websites, online security, online databases (MySQL etc) etc. using a combination of technology tools something which is not normally included in the academia. All ICT students in all colleges in Tanzania are eligible to apply and register for the internet space.
