Alcomet AD is recognized as Bulgaria's largest manufacturer of rolled and extruded aluminium products, providing a diverse array of semi-finished goods. The company's product portfolio encompasses household, technical, and container foils, finstock, sheets, and strips, alongside standard and customized profiles. A significant portion of its output, 95%, is exported, predominantly to European and United States markets. Recent strategic investments, totaling a three-year program, are designed to double production capacity and expand premises by 13,000 m² upon completion in 2019. This expansion includes commissioning a new 6-high cold-rolling mill (max width 2200 mm), a continuous casting line, heat-treatment facilities, and finishing lines. The extrusion side will feature a new 25 MN HybrEx® extrusion press, capable of extruding profiles with a CCD up to 310 mm and wall thicknesses as low as 0.8 mm.
