In 1998, a few friends sat down together and had one vision: provide basic necessities to those less fortunate, without the unnecessary administration costs in between. These friends began collecting small amounts of money , which would be sent to needy countries directly without any unnecessary admin costs. This became the starting point for Al-Am... in. This charity has been built on the principle that we as human beings have a duty upon ourselves to offer help to the needy and vulnerable throughout the world. Al-Amin offers you the opportunity to donate with assurance of knowing that there are no administration costs, rent, wages or marketing costs. Your whole donation is used for purpose. Al-Amin focuses on providing educational means, food, clean water, clothing, livelihood and sustainability projects throughout the world. This includes countries such as Gambia, Cameroon, Pakistan, Uganda, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India, Ghana, Kenya, Palestine, Yemen, and many others. We can only continue to carry out this work with your support, as we firmly believe that the honour and dignity of those in need should be upheld throughout both our marketing, and the work itself that we undertake. We should be able to feel the urgency of those in need, rather than to just see their desperation. All of Al-Amins projects are grass-roots projects; these projects are designed to make a direct difference to peoples lives, be it few or many. Al-Amin looks to make a difference from the ground up, by starting at the grassroots, which is the most fundamental and basic level of any change.
