AJCOR (Pty) Ltd was established in 2002 by the father and son team of Marius and Attie Britz. With more than 35 years of experience in the construction industry Marius had the appropriate background to start a company with a solid foundation from which an industry leader was developed. After completing his Civil Engineering degree at the University... of Pretoria, Attie joined his father full time as a shareholder at AJCOR (Pty) Ltd and provided an injection to the rapid growing company that gave AJCOR the required edge to go from strength to strength. AJCOR's main emphasis was on opencast mining and various successful projects were completed until they realized that the opportunity existed to grow even further. By the end of 2007 the father and son team decided to create a new division at AJCOR specializing in project management, earthworks and the construction of services and roads. In 2007 AJCOR approached Martin van Veelen to be the manager of the division and took up the post at the start of 2008. Martin van Veelen is a Civil Engineer with a master's degree in pavement design and rehabilitation and worked in the civil engineering consulting industry for three and a half years before joining AJCOR.
