AIS Group traces its roots back to 1991 when Founder and Managing Director, Ing. Mario Schembri set up his first company together with just one other person. The start-up company was the first to introduce biometrics technology into the local market whilst building a reputation for providing industrial automation. Early on, Mario realised the poten... tial in the environment sector and formed the first independent environmental consultancy firm. Today, AIS Group has broadened its organisation and field of activities, employing over 60 specialist staff members. At heart, the business remains close to the Schembri family. With Mario’s life-long partner Odette moving into the growing business, she immediately took charge of the financial side, helping the organisation to build strong foundations for further growth. In its 3rd decade, the organisation has set into motion a succession plan as both their children, Darryl and Yasmin, are already heavily involved in the business.
