Aircraft Charter Solutions Inc (ACS) was established in 1993 as an on-demand, Part 135 Air Taxi charter airline licensed by the USA's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In many of our operations ACS operates together with our related company Balmoral Central Contracts SA (Pty) Ltd and Gryphen Aerospace (Pty) Ltd. Balmoral was established in 199... 2 and is a licensed Air Carrier holding Part 135, Part 121 and Part 127 AOCs issued by The South African Civil Aviation Authority with its Part 138 Certificate pending authorization. Gryphen is a wholly owned subsidiary of Balmoral and provides maintenance on the aircraft operated by Balmoral under their Aircraft Maintenance Organization (AMO) approval issued by the South African CAA. ACS is owned by Kirk Mueller who is President of the Company. Robin Reid is Chairman of the Board of ACS and the owner and sole Director of Balmoral. Due to the close ties between the companies we have generally become known as ACS/Balmoral. We specialize in providing tailor made aviation solutions using both Helicopters and Fixed Wing Aircraft for both Passenger and Cargo, usually in the remote and often war torn places in the world. We are a somewhat unusual company in that we tend to be a little "old fashioned" and approach life and business differently than most. Like all "for profit" companies we are in business to make money, but, we believe that business (and indeed all of life) is about people and we strongly believe in honesty, honour and integrity. Aviation is a demanding occupation and the environment in the places we operate, by their very nature, tends to make it even more demanding.
