Airborne Access is a wireless ISP (wISP) that provides wireless internet connectivity at its hotspots. The service operates using technology known as 802.11b or WiFi. Are there any limitations to this type of service? Airborne Access delivers the full internet experience within the hotspot. Our customers can surf the web, send or receive email, cha... t, download files, and everything else that you can do on the internet. What devices do I need to avail of this service? Laptops, PDA's, and other portable devices with standard 802.11b wireless internet cards can be used to access the service. Most of the newer laptop and PDAs come with built-in wireless interfaces out-of-the-box. How much are the rates for the service? Airborne Access currently has a post-paid service plan called HORIZON with three basic plans. All HORIZON plans equip you with WiFi devices to jumpstart your wireless internet experience. HORIZON 1 provides the user with unlimited access for only P1,000* with a P1,500* signing fee. The plans comes with a PCMCIA WLAN card absolutely FREE. HORIZON 6 is our semi-annual plan that delivers 6 months of wireless internet for the price of 5. The plan also includes a FREE PCMCIA WLAN card. Fees are P5,000 paid at the start of the 6 month period. HORIZON 12 is our annual plan that includes a FREE PCMCIA WLAN card and a Wireless Boradband Router for your home or office.
