The national government started a program in 2014 with the main goal of reducing antibiotics (resistance). These current events teach the company that the use of antibiotics in livestock farming is under great pressure. The government requires farmers to use fewer antibiotics to decrease resistance and to stimulate corporate social responsibility, given the increased public worries and pressure on livestock farming. While the excessive use of antibiotics is a consequence of pressure from, among others, both the consumer market and pressure from suppliers, the company believes a new approach is necessary. With the new pharma approach, AHV International strives to develop new technologies and products, as well as new methods and standards regarding animal health care, while providing the world with natural, smart and sustainable solutions for various, complex but also everyday problem situations, related to animal health care within agriculture.
