Aging Services

Aging Services has been providing Adult Day Health services in Cedar Rapids since 1984. Based on a growing need for this service, Milestones in Marion opened in 2005 and now, a short five years later, is consistently operating at its daily capacity and referrals remain strong. When plans for the Milestones in Marion Adult Day Health Center were ori... ginally developed, the plans included a second phase to expand the capacity of the building when the need justified it. The Aging Services' Board of Directors believes it is now time to expand the program to accommodate both current and anticipated future need for this service. The expansion will not only allow us to serve more seniors and health challenged adults, but will also include the addition of a Special Care Unit. This unit will be specifically designed to serve individuals with dementia and related brain disorders. We are very excited to begin the process of expanding Milestones in Marion. We believe this expansion will better serve the needs of clients, not only in terms of increased numbers, but also in terms of variety and quality of service provided. Making this expansion a reality will require significant community support. The Hall Perrine Foundation has generously awarded a $250,000 challenge grant to get us started.
