Social Services Network (SSN) has made great strides in establishing roots and supporting communities living in Markham and York Region over the past decade. Since its humble beginnings, SSN has grown to be an agency that continues to support collaboration and partnerships with communities and organizations to improve the lives of the people that w... e serve. Today, given the changing tides of our demographics with a proportionally high number of older adults and seniors in our communities, SSN has taken BOLD STEPS to re-align its program focus to support the aging population. Our primary aim is to raise the dignity of those that are aging through our programs and services so that they may reach their fullest potential; we believe that like all members of society, our seniors should be respected and are encouraged to actively participate in economic, social, cultural, and family life. Our mantra Aging Positively hopes to create a culture in society where equality, independence, participation, care, self-actualization, and dignity is maintained throughout the aging process.
