Adventist Health began managing Tulare Re... gional Medical Center in October 2018. The 112-bed acute-care facility is located just off Highway 99 between Bakersfield and Fresno. It offers emergency services with 13 emergency beds, including six fast-track, to efficiently provide care to those with greatest need. Other services include emergency surgery, ICU, laboratory, pharmacy, medical imaging, respiratory therapy, anesthesia and medical/surgical nursing. The Tulare medical center is expected to join the Adventist Health family in the first quarter of 2019 after the California Department of Public Health approves a change of ownership. Adventist Health will then lease the facility from the Tulare Local Healthcare District under an agreement approved by the district board and voters in 2018.
