Advantage Property Management was founded in February of 1990 by C.F. "Lucky" Shawver as President and Lorraine Kert as Secretary/Treasurer. Mr. Shawver bought an existing Management Company by the name of Hallmark Management Company and merged with Marquis Property Management Company owned by Lorraine Kert. They had approximately 40 accounts combi... ned. The name was then changed to Advantage Property Management. Both Mr. Shawver and Ms. Kert had previous experience in the property Management Business, Mr. Shawver from 1986 and Ms. Kert from 1982. As you can see from the web-site, the Company has had steady growth for 22 years. In 1996 the company hired Ms. Barbara Shea to be the company's new Comptroller. Ms. Shea had vast experience not only in Financial Management and Accounting but she also worked in Facility Management in the government sector for ten years. She was such a valued employee that the company made her a Partner in 1998. She has been the most valued partner the company could have ever asked for. She is now the Chief Operating Officer for the company's Company. Mr. Shawver is a 52 year resident of Martin County. He was in the General Contracting Business from 1970 to 1986. He also owned Stuart Real Estate and Tri County Crane and Tractor during those years. His reputation during those years was impeccable.
