Adrianne Koteen

Adrianne Koteen is a freelance photographer, educator and arts consultant based in New York City. Adrianne works internationally with a variety of non-profits, museums, and individual clients. Adrianne is currently completing a masters in the Art and Public Policy department at Tisch at New York University. Her experience includes a two year tenure... as the program director for Fotovision, a Bay Area non-profit whose mission is to advance social documentary photography though education, dialogue and community, and a five year tenure working as an editor and curator with the International Museum of Women on the exhibit and anthology "Imagining Ourselves: A Global Generation of Women. Her photography has taken her to six continents, and her work has been used in numerous non-profit settings, including an Imagining Ourselves exhibit at the United Nations. Adrianne's images have been featured in print for organizations such as the International Museum of Women, the Thailand Creative Design Center, Mexfam, Streetside Stories, and the ARC of San Francisco. Her photography has also been featured on CNN.com, NPR.org, TED.com, in the LA Weekly and Minneapolis St. Paul Star Tribune among others. Adrianne teaches digital photography and documentary storytelling workshops internationally. Previous workshops include working with the SAWA outreach program at Townhouse Gallery of Contemporary Art in Cairo, Egypt; working with school children in partnership with the organization Social Development Campaign Nepal in Kathmandu, Nepal; working with the organization Kampung Halaman to teach incarcerated young women at the Tangerang Detention Center in Jakarta, Indonesia; a workshop at the American University of Beirut in conjunction with the Center for Civic Engagement and Community Service, the Department of Photography, the Office of Communication, and other local non-profit affiliates; and working with Bay Area high school teens in the Young Artist at Work program in the Community Engagement department at the Yerba Buena Center ...Read More
