Adriana has directed for Profile Theatre (Artistic Director, 2012-2015), Artists Repertory Theatre, Portland Playhouse, The Cutting Ball Theater (Associate Artistic Director, 2004-2007), Columbia Stages, Atlantic Theater Company Acting School, the cell, and The Acting Company (Staff Director for 2012 national tour, bringing productions of Shakespea... re to 32 cities in the US and Canada), and others. New play development workshops and festivals include Profile Theatre's In Dialogue Series, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Bay Area Playwrights Festival, The Cutting Ball Theater, Primary Stages, and The Lark Play Development Center. Additionally, Adriana has worked with Opera Boston, The Public Theater, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, San Francisco Circus Center/Pickle Circus, Theatre Communications Group, American Conservatory Theater, California Shakespeare Theater, and Oregon Shakespeare Festival. She was the Founder and Director of Programs of Central Coaching offering coaching for artists pursuing admission into professional theater training programs, a business she has recently relaunched in Portland via Adriana Baer Creative. Among other institutions, Adriana has taught for Portland State University, The Acting Company, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Columbia University School of the Arts, Portland Community College, and Boston Children's Chorus. She holds a BA from Sarah Lawrence College and an MFA in Directing from Columbia University, and is a member of SDC, the professional union of stage directors and choreographers.
