Eric has a unique perspective which is derived from years of experience as the Head of Legal Canada for Invesco, and General Counsel for Mackenzie Financial Corporation. He understands the day-to-day and complex issues faced by clients operating in an ever-changing industry. Erics responsibilities during his eleven years as General Counsel included supervising a team of lawyers, working with regulators, and providing Canadian securities legal and regulatory advice to Canadian and international affiliates. Eric addressed a myriad of legal issues head-on and found practical solutions. He has also dealt extensively with regulators and actively commented on regulatory change initiatives. From 2014 to 2018, Eric served on the Registrant Advisory Committee (RAC) of the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC). The RAC is the advisory committee for the Compliance and Registrant Regulation Branch of the OSC. In 2016, Eric was named to the GC Powerlist sponsored by Legal500 as one of Canadas most influential in-house lawyers.
