ACA produces sporting events to increase awareness of HIV/AIDS, raises funds for eradication research and supports service organizations working to reduce transmission, educate the public and improve the lives of those affected by HIV/AIDS. ACA is an all-volunteer organization. 100% of money raised by participants goes to our beneficiaries. Since 2003, ACA has raised over $3.2 million for AIDS vaccine research at the Emory Vaccine Center as well as for other Atlanta-area AIDS service organizations. We are individuals from diverse backgrounds - young, old, gay and straight - who share common interests: a love of physical activity, a desire to build community and a passion to create a better world. We are enthusiastic and committed people who challenge and support one another to achieve the exceptional in fitness, personal growth and philanthropy. We believe that there is no limit to what a group of like-minded individuals can achieve. Written into the bylaws of Action Cycling Atlanta is its commitment to adhere to the standards set forth by the Better Business Bureaus Wise Giving Alliance . We seek to minimize event overhead in order to maximize our contribution to recipients. To date, 100% of the money raised by ride participants has been donated to our beneficiaries.
