Act One Pictures was established as the production division of Voice & Video, a highly respected lea... der in A/V services in Southern California since 1973. In 1980 David Gimbel, along with two other partners, purchased Voice & Video and changed the focus of that business toward the sales and repair of audio & video equipment. In June of 2006, Act One Pictures moved to its current location on Vickers Street and was then purchased by Kathleen St. Peter. Since the purchase, the management has updated its equipment list to include more of the older formats as well as expanding on the latest technologies. Other improvements include bringing in the latest in film transfer equipment, construction of a small in-house recording studio and add an additional edit suite.
