I often say that shelter is the cornerstone of our society. We all know that for most Americans a home is the single largest and most important investment of their lives. I have spent 40 years working to ensure that a homeowner's investment is sound, and I have always taken great pride in my work. The searchers at Accurate Abstracts share these val... ues. I am sure every one of us has, over the past few years, endured the challenges brought on by economic headwinds and the changes in our industry. The thing about 'title people' is we are survivors. Factor in that we are from Jersey, where only the strong survive, and we are unstoppable. We adapt and change and keep taking care of business. Over the last decade we have been competing with Action Title Research. We realized that these guys saw the big picture, and had the instinct and talent to organize and execute a high volume of work. We have admired this organization and saw exactly where they were headed. Late last summer, as we at Accurate Abstracts brainstormed how we might prepare for the future, my son and partner Sean Flanagan said that by joining forces with Action Title Research, we would be unstoppable. Such a move would reduce overhead by pooling resources and other fixed costs, while adding more talent to the team of searchers we have covering New Jersey. In August, we began talks in earnest with Action Title Research. I'm very pleased to announce that our talks were successful, and that we have created an alliance with Action Title Research. This will yield many benefits for you, our valued customers. We have gone from 30 searchers statewide to 70. Our staffs complement each other, and we look forward to providing you with a complete menu of search services (including municipals), along with title production services, foreclosure reports, and smart reports.
